It can be stated that kids have been exposed to the messages given through mass media day by day. This reality leads them to think that mass media tools are important sources for making sense of the world. However, it is almost impossible to state that the contents of the shows prepared for adults help children enough to understand the political, social, cultural and economical events. Thus, it is a must to develop TV shows according to the children’s needs. Keeping this must in mind, Logo Kindernachrichten (Kids News) is the first and only news report for kids that has been broadcasting for 28 years in Germany. In this study, some issues are addressed such as what kind of topics are thematized, how these topics are presented in terms of agenda setting theory, how complicated issues like global politics and terror are handled in ZDF’s (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen- Germany’s state television) news report called Logo, which is created after long studies. For the scope of the study, Logo news report between March 16 and 26, 2017 have been recorded and translated into Turkish, and the data has been analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative methods. In the consequence of the research, it is observed that encouraging elements are absolutely presented at the end of the news about negative events in Logo.
