Abstract:

Saldırganlığın bir biçimi olarak tanımlanan şiddet, toplumsal yaşamın her boyutunda olduğu gibi, aile İçinde de bir birey olarak daha çok kadınları etkilemektedir. Birlikte yaşanılan kadının çeşitli yöntemlerle bilerek/bilmeyerek, isteyerek/istemeyerek, aralıklı/aralıksız olarak zarara uğratıldığı ve yaygın olarak fiziksel, cinsel, psikolojik, ekonomik ve sözel şekillerde görülen şiddet sonucunda, fiziksel ve ruhsal zarara uğrayan kadınlar, değişik biçimlerde tepkiler vermektedirler. Bunlar arasında kadının suça yönelmesi, içe kapanıklık, intihar girişimi, negatif duygular ve güvensizlik sayılabilir. Ne yazık ki, henüz ülkemizde yasal açıdan sorunu çözücü yeterli önlemler alınmadığı gibi, destek hizmetleri de İstenilen düzeyde değildir.
