Abstract:

The XIX. Since the end of the century, especially many European states have been competing with each other in order to take part in the territory of the Ottoman State, which has lost power. One of these countries was Italy.   Trablusgarp and its surroundings were the places where Italy designed to capture with imperialist thoughts. The province of Trablusgarp was a land located in North Africa, which was under the Ottoman state's 360 years rule. Italy has started its occupational activities since 1906 to occupy it. In fact, Italy, which made a series of agreements with the great states of the time, declared war on the Ottoman State in 1911. Italy planned to easily occupy Trablusgarp and its surroundings in a short time. However, the progress was not as expected by Italy. After Italy declared war in Trablusgarp, young officers were sent here by the Ottoman State, in order to resist the people in the region. Among these officers was Mr. Halil. Each officer was assigned to one front. In this context, Mr. Halil was also given the responsibility of the Homs Front. In the Homs, Egypt, Bingazi, Tobruk and Derne fronts, despite the general limitations of possibilities, successful defences against the Italians were carried out. This is why the influence of the Italians remained on the coastline in general. The impact of the Ottoman officers in the area was great.
