Type 1 diabetes is a disease that occurs with the destruction of the beta cells that produce insulin in the pancreas due to the causes of autoimmune and leads to serious health problems. The incidence of infection in children and adolescents is increasing. However, patients can live a healthier life by keeping their blood glucose levels in the appropriate interval with insulin treatment, close monitoring, proper diet and regular physical activity. For many years, the effects of regular exercise in literature have been studied on type 1 diabetes patients. In order to evaluate the impact size of the results obtained in these studies; in our study we studied the results of the studies that studied the effects of glycemic control of regular exercise for type 1 diabetes patients using the meta-analysis method. In this regard, studies published in PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science databases were scaned using type 1 diabetes, exercise and glycemic control keywords from 2007 to 2017. The data from 1223 articles studied in the results of the scans were analyzed for 9 studies that meet the research criteria and are suitable for meta analysis. Data related to the number of participants, the average age, gender, the type of exercise applied, the weekly exercise frequency and glycemic control were analyzed using the meta analysis program Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software V.2.2 (Biostat, Englewood, New Jersey). The meta-analysis results of studies showed that regular exercise has a positive and meaningful effect on the acute and chronic control of blood sugar (Hedges' g =0,56, p< ,05). After all, it was found that regular exercise for type 1 diabetic patients provides a sustainable benefit in terms of glycemic control and general health by increasing the sensitivity of insulin in the body and the stimulated muscle mass for glucose absorption.
