Berit Dağları’nda (Kahramanmaraş) Litolojik ve Jeomorfolojik Faktörlerin Bitki Örtüsünün Dağılışına Etkisi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Berit Dağları’nda litolojik ve jeomorfolojik faktörlerin bitki örtüsünün dağılışına etkisini açıklamaktır. Bu amaçla litolojik ve jeomorfolojik faktörlere ait alt kriterler ile bitki örtüsü katman haritaları oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan katman haritaları, Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS) teknikleriyle, ArcGIS 10.7 yazılımı kullanılarak çakıştırılmıştır. Çakıştırma işlemi sonunda her bir jeomorfolojik faktörün alt kriterinde bulunan bitki türü ve alanı tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre, Berit Dağları’nda 1600,01-1800 m yükseltileri arasındaki yüksek plato ve yamaçlarda şist anakayası üzerinde 45,01º> eğimli alanlarda kuzeydoğu, doğu ve güneydoğu yönlerde bitki çeşitliliği ve yoğunluğu fazladır. Buna karşılık 2400 m’den yüksek alanlardaki zirve düzlükleri üzerinde, ofiyolitik melanj ve 0-15ºeğimli güney ve güneybatı yönlü alanlarda bitki tür çeşitliliği ve yoğunluğu azdır. Çalışma sonucunda, Berit Dağları’nda litoloji, yerşekilleri, yükselti, eğim ve bakı gibi jeomorfolojik faktörlerin bitki örtüsü çeşitliliğini ve dağılışını etkileyen önemli unsurlar olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to explain the effect of lithological and geomorphological factors on the distribution of vegetation in the Berit Mountains. For this purpose, vegetation layer maps were created with sub-criteria of geomorphological factors. Layer maps created were overlapped by using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) techniques within ArcGIS 10.7software. Using overlay analysis, the plant species and area in the sub-criteria of each geomorphological factor were determined. According to the results, in the Berit Mountains, on the high plateau and hillside between the elevations of 1600.01-1800 m, the plant diversity and density in the northeastern, eastern and southeastern areas are high in areas with a slope of 45.01o> on the schist bedrock. On the other hand, on the summit plains in areas higher than 2400 m, plant species diversity and density are low in the ophiolitic melange and 0-15 slope south and southwest direction areas. As a result of the study, it has been understood that geomorphological factors such as lithology, landforms, elevation, slope and aspect in the Berit Mountains are important factors affecting vegetation diversity and distribution.
