Abstract:

This study on the selection of the pilot university for regional development and specialization of the University of Bingöl is carried out with the aim of determining the knowledge and satisfaction of the academic and administrative staff working at the University of Bingöl towards the pilot university. There were 176 academic and administrative staff surveyed for this. The applied survey was carried out by a simple random sample method. Of the survey, 132 are academic and 44 are administrative staff. Related to the regional development and specialization project, the success of the project, the contribution to the regional economy, the impact of honey production and branding, the respondents received multiple correspondence analysis. According to the results of this analysis, in relation to the economic contribution of the specialization program to Bingöl researchers, the academic staff in the project task is positive and the men’s opinions are negative, while the administrative staff in the project task is not partly contributing. The academic male staff claims that the quality of honey will increase, while the administrative staff claims that it will increase partially. While non-project academic male staff indicate that the project will contribute to the production of Bingöl honey, women expect to contribute partially. Those who have the project thought positively about the promotion of Bingöl, while women thought negatively and men without the project thought partially positively.
