Abstract:

Today, animal products are vital for healthy and balanced nutrition. The achievement of animal products, in particular, requires the proper determination of the functions and needs of farming animals, and adequate and balanced nutritional conditions for the supply of high quantities and quality products. Our country has a total of 14.6 million ha. The eastern Anadolu region, with 5.5 million hectares, accounts for 37.53 percent of our country’s cave-mera areas. Our country has an animal potential of a total of 20.1 million HB, with a size of 14.9 million Animal Unit (HB) (%74.19), a size of 5.1 million HB (%25.31), a size of 98.733 HB (%0.50) and a size of 20.1 million HB. There are approximately 13 food plants in the plant production. 1 million tons and 10.3 million tons of grass and the total amount of high-quality dry grass produced is 23.4 million tons per year. The amount of raw grass obtained and animal existence is estimated at 68.4 tons. This is not enough for the low nutritional value of food to be assessed. Planned and programmed work must be done in our country to get rid of the quality raw food gap, and research on the species and varieties of food plants suitable for each region must be encouraged and the increased continuation of the support applied to food plants.
