Abstract:

The impact of information communication technologies is increasing every day. The changes and developments in information communication technologies reorganize interpersonal communication, interaction, social and cultural life. The social networks that arise with this development facilitate people’s communication with each other, while causing some problems and ethical violations. With the spread of the use of digital tools, access to the information of persons has become even easier, the personal data of persons has led to the illegal proceeding into the hands of malintention persons, thus the fear of disclosure of personal data relating to persons' private lives in an illegal manner has emerged. This study discussed the use of social media and the issue of children’s rights within the framework of international and national legislation. Parents, schools and teachers have been advised to prevent child abuse through social media and to protect their personal rights.
