Abstract:

Türkçenin uzun zamandan beri yabancı dil olarak öğretilegeldiği ve tarihî süreçte yabancılara Türkçe öğretimine yönelik faaliyetlerin Türklerin kurdukları siyasi egemenliğe paralel bir şekilde arttığı belirtilebilir. Elimize ulaşan iki dilli sözlükler ve dil bilgisi kitapları bu yargıyı destekler niteliktedir. Bu çalışmada günümüzden yaklaşık 100 yıl önce Afganistan’ın başkenti Kabil’de basılan ve okullarda yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretmek için yazıldığı anlaşılan iki adet taş baskı eser tanıtılmaya ve yabancı dil öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri açısından incelenip değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi tekniğiyle hazırlanan çalışmada söz konusu eserlerin Türkçe öğretim anlayışı ortaya çıkarılmaya gayret edilmiştir. Türkiye dışında yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminin tarihsel gelişim sürecine katkı sağlayacağı düşünülen bu iki eser, 20. yüzyılın başlarında Türkiye dışında Türkçenin nasıl öğretildiği üzerine fikir yürütebilmek adına oldukça önemlidir.

It can be noted that Turkish has been taught as a foreign language for a long time and that the activities aimed at teaching Turkish to foreigners in the historical process have increased parallelly to the political sovereignty that the Turkish people established. The two-language dictionaries and language knowledge books that are available to us support this judgment. In this study, about 100 years ago in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, two pieces of stone printed works that appear to be written to teach Turkish as a foreign language in schools were introduced and tried to be studied and evaluated in terms of the principles and methods of teaching foreign languages. In the work prepared by the document examination technique of the quality research methods, the subject works have been sought to reveal the Turkish teaching understanding. These two works, which are thought to contribute to the historical development of Turkish teaching as a foreign language outside of Turkey, are very important for the idea of how Turkish is taught outside of Turkey in the early 20th century.
