Özet Bu olgu sunumunda, DSM-5 kriterlerine göre panik bozukluk belirtilerine sahip 15 yaşında olan erkek danışanın bilişsel davranışçı terapi yoluyla 10 seanslık tedavi süreci ele alınmıştır. Danışanların mevcut psikolojik sorunlarında yaygın olarak kullanılan psikoterapiler, panik bozukluğunun tedavisinde de sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Bilişsel davranışçı terapi (BDT), kanıta dayalı bir terapi yöntemi olmakla birlikte çocuk ve ergenlerde psikopatolojilerin tedavi ve önlenmesinde sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Tedavi için başvuran danışanın yaşadığı semptomlarla ilgili yanlış yorumlamaları, işlevsel olmayan kaçınma ve baş etme davranışları bulunmaktadır. Terapi sürecinde danışanın çarpıtılmış ve işlevsel olmayan yorumlamaları bilişsel davranışçı terapi yoluyla değiştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Danışanın şikâyetleri arasında yer alan, büyük ataklar yaşayacağına dair beklenti anksiyetesinin olması, yalnız başına hiçbir yere gidemiyor oluşu gibi durumlarla ilgili ev ödevleri planlanmıştır. Planlanan ev ödevleri sonunda danışanın kaçınma davranışları sergilemeden, korktuğu ve felaketleştirdiği durumların gerçekleşmediğini deneyimlemesi sağlanmıştır. Danışanın tedaviye düzenli olarak gelmesi, iş birliğine açık olması, seanslara ödev yaparak katılmasının terapide oldukça etkili olduğu ve ilerlemeye yardımcı olduğu düşünülmektedir. In the presentation of this phenomenon, a 15-year-old man consultant with panic disorder symptoms according to the DSM-5 criteria was discussed 10 sessions of treatment through cognitive behavioral therapy. Psychotherapies commonly used in the current psychological problems of consultants are also often used in the treatment of panic disorders. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a evidence-based therapy method, but is often used in the treatment and prevention of psychopathologies in children and adolescents. There are misinterpretations about the symptoms the consultant is experiencing, unfunctional avoidance and behavior of dealing with. In the process of therapy, the distorted and non-functional interpretations of the consultant were tried to be replaced through cognitive behavioral therapy. The counselor's complaints are planned for home tasks related to situations such as an anxiety of the expectation that he will experience major attacks, that he can't go anywhere alone. At the end of the planned home tasks, the consultant has been given the opportunity to experience that the circumstances that he fears and catastrophes do not occur without showing avoidance behaviors. It is believed that the consultant comes to treatment regularly, is open to cooperation, participation in sessions by doing tasks is very effective in therapy and helps to progress. The methods applied in cognitive behavioral therapy and the treatment process of the consultant with panic disorder is detailed in the light of the literature.
