The goal of postgraduate education is to enhance people’s cultural and knowledge accumulation, as well as to produce science, present social and educational problems and bring solutions to these problems with suggestions. In this context, in addition to the determination of applicable and reliable entry criteria for the purpose of graduate education and achieving the desired quality, the determination of the weight rates of these criteria is quite important. The purpose of this study in Turkey is to indicate whether the ALES success score (Academic Staff and Graduate Education Introduction Exam), the degree graduation average and the interview exam success score criteria are consistent with the degree of impact of these criteria on graduate student acquisition. Another expression is to investigate whether the weighting rates of entry criteria for postgraduate education are realistic. In this context, a state university in Turkey, which uses painful standards in different periods and rates in the choice of postgraduate students, has been selected as a sample of research. The logistics regression models made using the data obtained from this sample resulted in the biggest impact on the student's choice of postgraduate education was the interview, the smallest impact was the ALES exam, this situation was not parallel to the actual weighted ratio of these criteria used in the student's choice. At the end of the study, the ALES success score used as the entry criteria for graduate education in Turkey, the bachelor graduate score average and the interview exam success score discussed what the principles should be taken into consideration in the determination of the weight rates in the student reception process.
