Abstract:

19. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında, Rus ve Çin işgali altındaki Türkistan toprakları, tarihinin en zor günlerini yaşamaktaydı. Batı Türkistan’da Özbekler, Kazaklar ve Kırgızlar Rus egemenliğine karşı mücadele verirken, Doğu Türkistan’daki Uygurlar, Dunganlar (Döngen-Huizu) ve diğer Türk ve Müslüman halklar benzer mücadeleyi Çin ordularına karşı yürütmekteydi. Söz konusu dönemde Doğu Türkistan arazisinde emperyalist politikaları gereği Rusya ve İngiltere’nin de faaliyetler yürüttüğü gözlemlenmiştir. Bu makalede, Hokant Hanlığı’ndan Kaşgar’a gelerek Yedişehir Devleti’ni kuran Yakup Bek’in, Doğu Türkistan’da verdiği bağımsızlık mücadelesi ve bu mücadeleye Batı Türkistan arazisinden göç etmek zorunda kalan Kazak ve Kırgız Türklerinin iştiraki, arşiv belgeleri ışığında incelenmeye çalışılacaktır.
