EĞİTİM KURUMLARINDA STRATEJİK PLANLAMA HAKKINDA YAPILMIŞ ÇALIŞMALARIN TEMATİK VE METODOLOJİK ÖZELLİKLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki eğitim kurumlarında stratejik planlama hakkında yapılmış çalışmaların (lisansüstü tezler ve makaleler) içerik analizlerinin yapılarak tematik ve metodolojik özelliklerinin belirlenmesidir. Bu araştırma genel tarama modellerinden doküman incelemeye dayalı nitel bir araştırmadır. Örneklem, ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak belirlenmiş ve stratejik planlama hakkında Türkiye’de yapılmış çalışmalardan araştırma birimi eğitim kurumları ve eğitimciler olan 5 doktora tezi, 60 yüksek lisans tezi ve 31 makaleyi içermektedir. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen tez ve makale tematik-metodolojik inceleme formu ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi türlerinden kategorisel analiz kullanılmıştır. Belirlenen tematik ve metodolojik özellikler için frekans analizi yapılarak tablo ve grafikler oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre eğitim kurumalarında stratejik planlama hakkında yapılmış çalışmalarda çalışılma sıklığı en fazla olan tema, stratejik analiz temasıdır. Çalışmalar daha çok yüksek lisans tezidir ve işletme ana bilim dalında yapılmıştır. İncelenen çalışmalarda sıklıkla genel tarama modeli kullanılmış, örneklem olarak yönetici ve öğretmenler seçilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak dokümanlar kullanılmış ve veriler analiz edilirken en çok içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgu ve sonuçlarına dayalı olarak araştırmacılara, uygulayıcılara ve politika yapıcılara yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Examination of the thematic and methodological characteristics of the strategic planning processes in the educational institutions

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the thematic and methodological characteristics of the studies on strategic planning in the educational institutions in Turkey (graduate theses and articles) by carrying out content analysis. This research is a quality research based on document review from general scan models. The sample includes 5 doctoral theses, 60 master theses, and 31 articles, which are research units of education institutions and educators from the studies on strategic planning in Turkey, determined using the standard sample method and done in Turkey. The data was collected by the thesis and article developed by the researchers through the thematic-methodological examination form. In the analysis of the data, categorical analysis of the type of content analysis was used. Tables and graphs are created by making frequency analysis for the specified thematic and methodological characteristics. According to the findings of the study, the topic that is most frequently studied in studies on strategic planning in educational institutions is the topic of strategic analysis. The studies are more of a master's thesis and are conducted in the main field of business science. In the reviewed studies; the general scan model was often used, managers and teachers were selected as sample. Documents have been used as a tool for data collection and the most used content analysis is when data is analyzed. Based on the findings and results of the research, recommendations for researchers, practitioners and policy makers have been developed.

The research aims to determine the thematic and methodological features of postgraduate thesis and articles about strategic planning in educational institutions in Turkey by content analysis. This research is a qualitative research based on document analysis which is one of the general survey models. Sample was determined by criterion sampling method and includes 5 doctoral thesis, 60 master thesis and 31 articles about strategic planning made in Turkey whose research units are educational institutions and educators. The data were collected with thesis and article thematic-methodological review form developed by the researchers. Categorical analysis was used in analyzing the data. Tables and graphs were created by frequency analysis for the determined thematic and methodological features. According to the findings, the most frequently studied theme is the strategic analysis theme. Studies are mostly master thesis and they have been done in the department of business administration. General survey model was used frequently in the studies examined and administrators and teachers were selected as samples in these studies. Documents were used as a data collection tool and content analysis was mostly used when analyzing data. Based on the findings and results, recommendations have been developed.
