Abstract:

The house, which defines the qualities of the personal space in the simplest sense as an archaeological structure, is an object, an image, and a concept that can contain within the context, the boundaries within all disciplines of contemporary art by the artists, in fact, the concept of art with deep definitions and very different forms in visuality. The concept of home, which can be discussed in every discipline, is one of the main elements in the representation of accommodation, belonging, preservation, security, peace, identity, or the state and phenomena of all these circumstances, which include negative/contrast, and in the course of time in contemporary art has become a phenomena that is constantly traced, and thus has become a strong language, a form of production within the relations of the artist, the spectator, the object, the space. In this context, the concept of home during the study, primarily addressed by the phenomenological dimension, was placed in the thoughts of Gaston Bachelard, Maurice M. Ponty, Otto F. Bollnow on home and place. The house is intended to be placed as an object-place in contemporary art; the home-focused works of Louise Bourgeois, Erwin Wurm, Rachel Whiteread, Donald Rodney and Petrit Halilaj have been discussed.
