Abstract:

In global supply chain management there are a set of factors that need to be properly managed to goals and success. These are critical success factors that represent the factors and transactions that are very important and necessary for a company’s success. The critical success factors resulting from the detailed literature scan to manage the global supply chain effectively are classified as follows: Unique products and services, employees’ desire to do business, Low costs, high quality, implementation speed, the need to meet local requirements and demands, Capacity Increase, the need to meet existing market commitments, a competitive human resource, Effective and competitive global supply chain strategy, Regulations, Effective risk management and information management system, Effective demand planning system. In this study, first, the success factors that affect the global supply chain management were studied, then, in the subsequent stage, the importance rankings and importance levels of these success factors were tried to be determined by applying the SWARA method. In addition, the COPELAND method has been used to provide the results obtained by the SWARA method. The decision-making survey used for the application of the SWARA method was applied to experts in a global supply chain company located in Kocaeli. The analysis of the data obtained by this survey found that the criteria of importance were ‘application speed’ with the value of 0,108 and the criteria of low importance with the value of 0,050 ‘regulations’. This result is similar to the results of the studies in the literature on the global supply chain. The criteria weights obtained by this study can be used by companies in the choice of global supply chain management systems.
