Abstract:

System Dynamics is a method used to control the non-linear dynamics developed in the fields of mathematics, physics and engineering, which are concerned with the behavior of complex systems, and their feed cycles. With the use of the system thinking approach in the educational field, it is seen that the students can concretize the abstract concepts, approach them with a comprehensive perspective, develop their problem-solving abilities. The main objective of this study is to investigate the impact of accounting education based on the system thinking approach, student academic achievements, and to provide a new teaching approach to accounting education. In the study, the experimental pattern of the pre-test-sontest control group was used. The group experiment in which the teaching method designed according to the system thinking approach is applied is defined as the group control group in which the traditional narrative-based teaching method is applied. The data obtained was analyzed and with the SPSS 22 package programs. The results of the analysis have found that accounting education based on the system thinking approach has a significant impact on the academic achievements of students. System thinking approach has been found that students better understand the course subjects, the connections between the subjects and the causal result relationship.
