Yabancı dil eğitimi öğrenciler için olduğu kadar öğretmenler için de uzun ve zorlu bir süreçtir. Dünyanın birçok yerinde yabancı dil öğretimi çeşitli yöntem ve tekniklerle gerçekleştirilmektedir. Dünyada ve ülkemizde her kurum Covid-19 salgınından önce bu öğretimi daha çok yüz yüze gerçekleştirmekteydi ancak Covid-19 salgını ile beraber eğitim, salgının yayılmasını önlemek amacıyla çeşitli platformlar üzerinden uzaktan (çevrim içi) gerçekleştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Yakın geçmişte var olan ancak bu kadar yoğun ve uzun süreçli olmayan uzaktan eğitime bir anda geçiş yapılması, yeni normale alışmayı ve süreçte yaşanan sorunları gidermeyi gerektirmiştir. Eğitimin her alanında olduğu gibi yabancı dil eğitiminde de uzaktan öğretime geçiş sürecinde yabancı dil öğretiminin nasıl olacağı konusu eğitimciler için soru işaretleri doğurmuştur. Bu durum, ani bir geçişle olduğu için öğretmenleri ve öğrencileri hazırlıksız yakalasa da uzaktan eğitimle dil öğretimi üzerine yapılan çalışmalar araştırılmış ve bu çalışmalardan yola çıkılarak uzaktan eğitimle dil öğretiminde dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlar derlenmiş ve yabancı dil öğretmenlerine bu konuda öneriler getirilmiştir. Bu araştırma, bir tarama çalışması olup doküman incelemesi yoluyla betimsel analiz yapılarak derlenmiştir. Uzaktan dil öğretimi yapan öğretmenlere uzaktan eğitimde nelere dikkat etmeleri konusunda yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir. Uzaktan eğitimin yararlılıkları ve sınırlılıkları, kavramları, modelleri araştırılmış ve uzaktan dil öğretiminde öğretmenlere uzaktan öğretimde dikkat etmeleri gereken ilkeler derlenmiştir. Uzaktan eğitimde etkili bir dil öğreticisi olabilmenin birçok faktörü vardır. Bu araştırmada bunların bir kısmı derlenmiştir. Araştırmada, literatür taramasına dayalı olarak öğreticilerin eğitimi, ders planı yapmak, dil öğretiminde bir model uygulamak, teknolojiyi etkin kullanmak, öğrencilerin motivasyonunun yüksek tutmak, öğrencilere dönüt vermek, uzaktan öğretimde sosyalleşmeyi sağlayabilmek olarak kategoriler oluşturulmuştur ve bu kategorilere yönelik araştırmalar sunulmuştur.
Foreign language education is a long and challenging process for teachers as well as for students. Foreign language teaching in many parts of the world is carried out by various methods and techniques. In the world and in our country, every institution had done this teaching more face-to-face before the Covid-19 epidemic, but with the Covid-19 epidemic, the training was tried to be carried out on a distance (in-line) through various platforms in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic. The instant transition to remote education, which existed in the recent past but is not so intense and long-processed, requires a new normal habit, and the solution of problems in the process. As in all fields of education, foreign language education has also raised questions for educators about how foreign language teaching will be in the process of transition to distance teaching. This is a sudden transition, but the teachers and students are not prepared, but the studies on language teaching with distance learning have been investigated and the aspects that should be taken into account in language teaching with distance learning have been collected and the teachers of foreign languages have been given recommendations in this regard. This research is a scanning study and is compiled by the visual analysis of the document through the examination of the document. It is believed that teachers who teach a distance language will be helpful in what they should pay attention to in the distance learning. The benefits and limitations of remote education, concepts, models have been studied and the principles that teachers in remote language teaching should pay attention to in remote education have been compiled. There are many factors in being an effective language teacher in distance learning. Some of this research has been found. The research, based on the literature scan, has created categories such as teachers’ training, making a curriculum, applying a model in language teaching, effectively using technology, keeping students high motivation, giving students a turn, enabling socialization in remote teaching, and research has been presented to these categories.

Switching to distance education, which has existed in the recent past but is not so intense and long-term, requires getting used to the new normal and resolving the problems experienced in the process. As in every field of education, it has raised questions for educators about how foreign language teaching will be in the transition process to distance education in foreign language education. Although this situation catches teachers and students unprepared because of a sudden transition, studies on language teaching with distance education have been researched and based on these studies, the points to be considered in language teaching with distance education have been compiled and suggestions have been made to foreign language teachers. This research is a survey study and was compiled by making descriptive analysis through document review. It is thought that it will help teachers who teach languages through distance education to pay attention. The advantages and disadvantages, concepts and models of distance education have been researched and the principles that teachers should pay attention to in distance education have been compiled. There are many factors to be an effective language teacher in distance education. Some of them were compiled in this study. In the research, categories were created based on the literature review, such as the training of teachers, making a lesson plan, applying a model in language teaching, using technology effectively, keeping students' motivation high, providing feedback to students, and providing socialization in distance education, and researches on these categories were presented.
