Abstract:

The aim of this research is to identify the problems in the education of refugees students on the Sivas scale and to present a proposal for a program design that can be employed in the education of refugees students. The research has been used by the phenomenology (Olgu science) pattern of the quality research model. The research data was obtained by conversations with teachers in schools where refugees students in Sivas. In the selection of the study group, maximum diversity sampling and standard sampling were used. According to this, 23 teachers in 3 separate schools at the primary, secondary and secondary school level, where refugees are intensely involved, have been discussed in separate sessions to show the similarities and differences of the problems encountered during the training of refugee students according to their educational stages. Qualitative data is analyzed by content analysis. In content analysis, the data is relatively analyzed according to their similarities and differences. The analysis of the data obtained in the study detailed the problems experienced in the education of refugees students under four topics: "language problem, adaptation and adaptation problem, motivation problem and education program problem". At the end of the study, it can be said that the basis of the problems experienced in the education of refugee students is the language problem. The language problem brings many problems. In the conversations with teachers, refugees were determined that the students could not speak Turkish, they could not understand what was spoken, and therefore they could not communicate. Communication has also brought significant problems in the educational sense. According to the results obtained, the principles for a more systematic, sustainable program design that can be solved to the problems experienced in the education of refugees students have been revealed.
