Mehmet Akif Ersoy’u şair kimliğinden ziyade düşünür kimliğiyle ele alan Yazar Ali yıldırım Mehmet Akif Ersoy Tanrı, İnsan ve Eylem isimli eserinde Akif’in Tanrı-alem ve Tanrı-insan ilişkisine yönelik görüşlerini ele almaktadır. Aynı zamanda kitapta süreç felsefesi bağlamında Akif'in görüşleri Whitehead ve İkbal'in görüşleri ile karşılaştırılarak analiz yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiş ve din felsefesinin temel sorunlarından olan Tanrının Sıfatları konusu bir şair-düşünür bakış açısıyla ele alınmıştır.
