Abstract:

The aim of this research is to reveal the opinions of teachers about their use of social media in the workplace. This study is a quantitative research and the study group of the research consists of 233 teachers working at different levels in the province of Manisa in the 2021-2022 academic year. “Scale of Social Media Use in the Workplace” was used to collect data. Parametric tests were used because the research data showed a normal distribution. According to the research findings, it was seen that male and female teachers use social media at a moderate level in the workplace. It is seen that the behaviors of teachers regarding their use of social media mostly concentrate on using relationship/bonding social media and inappropriate social media. It is understood that the views on these two dimensions are quite agreeable. It is seen that the behavior of social media use for the job is moderate, while the behaviors of non-work use and social media use intensity are at the level of disagree. It is recommended that teachers be trained on the correct use of the media
