Abstract:

The aim of this research is to study the parental attitudes of parents of children who continue to school-related pre-educational institutions in the 2017-2018 academic year. In this study, a visual scan model was used. The sample of the study is composed of 521 parents identified using the layer sample method. In the study, the "Parental Attitude Scale" was used to determine the parents' parents' attitudes. In the analysis of the research data, visual statistics (medium, standard deviation) and differential analysis (ANOVA, MANOVA) were used. The study found that children adopted too much democratic and extremely protective attitudes by their parents, less authority and less permissive attitudes. The result is that the number of children increases, the democratic attitude in the parents decreases, the higher education and income levels of the parents, the more they adopt democratic attitude, and the less they adopt authority and excessively protective attitude. It may be recommended to prepare seminars, courses, parental educational programs on child-educating attitudes in order to allow parents to adopt the right attitude. Furthermore, thanks to these educations, parents who think that the child is doing for the good, but are unconsciously addicted and low self-confidence individuals, show an excessive protective attitude, can ensure that they adopt a democratic attitude that is the right attitude.
