Abstract:

Today, urban transformation is facing us as a process against the socio-economic, physical and environmental disruptions that occur in the city. Urban transformation, which aims to improve the quality of life by living in a healthy, balanced, quality environment by urban renovation tools, has become a need especially for major cities. But depending on the fact that cities do not grow healthy, their environmental values cannot be safeguarded accordingly, environmental values and the idea of social responsibility should not be considered independent of each other, it shows the fact that these two concepts have an integrated structure. Therefore, the activities between urban transformation and urban environment must be carried out on the basis of ethical understanding and sustainability in the process of mutual interaction.
