Türkiye, 24 Haziran 2018 seçimleriyle birlikte fiilen Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sistemi’ne geçmiştir. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Hükümet Sistemi ile birlikte hem siyasal sistemde hem de seçim sisteminde çeşitli değişimler yürürlüğe girmiştir. Bu değişimler, siyasal iletişim açısından seçmen tercihi ve siyasal bilgi gibi konuların yeniden ele alınması gerekliliğini beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada Elazığ ili örneğinde 24 Haziran seçimleri öncesinde seçmenlerin siyasal tercihlerini etkileyen faktörler belirlenmeye çalışılmış, yeni siyasal sistem ve seçim sistemine ilişkin seçmenlerin siyasal bilgi düzeyleri sorgulanmıştır. 24 Haziran seçimleri öncesinde, 20-27 Mayıs tarihleri arasında 26 sorudan oluşan anket formu, 1105 kişilik bir örneklem grubuna uygulanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular çerçevesinde, seçmen tercihinde Cumhurbaşkanı adayının en önemli etken olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanında seçmenlerin, parti ittifaklarını olumlu değerlendirdiği görülmüştür. Siyasal bilginin ise özellikle cinsiyet, eğitim durumu ve siyasete ilgi düzeyi gibi değişkenler etrafında şekillendiği belirlenmiştir.
Turkey has passed into the actual presidential government system with the election of 24 June 2018. With the presidency government system, various changes have entered into force both in the political system and in the electoral system. These changes have led to the need to re-elect issues such as voter preference and political knowledge in terms of political communication. In this study, for example, Elazığ is trying to identify the factors that influence the political preferences of voters before the June 24 elections, the political level of knowledge of voters about the new political system and the electoral system is questioned. Before the June 24 elections, the survey form consisting of 26 questions from 20 to 27 May was applied to a sample group of 1105 people. According to the findings from the survey, the candidate for the president is the most important factor in the choice of voters. In addition, the voters have seen the party’s coalition being positive. Political knowledge has been determined to be shaped around variables such as gender, educational status and the level of interest in politics.
Turkey, with June 24, 2018 elections, has entered Presidential Government System. Together with the Presidential Government System various changes have come into force both in the political system and in the electoral system. These changes brought about the necessity of reconsidering issues such as voter choice and political knowledge in terms of political communication. In this Study, sample of Elazığ tried to determine factors affecting the preferences of voters before the June 24 elections and voters knowledge on the new political system and electoral system were questioned. A questionnaire consisting of 26 questions was applied to the sample group of 1105 before June 24 elections between May 20-27. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that the candidate of president is most important factor in voter choice. Besides, it was seen that voters generally evaluated the parties alliances in a positive way. It is determined that political knowledge is shaped around the variables such as gender, educational status and the level of interest in politics.
