Abstract:

This research examines the concept of informationalism in the context of the capitalist paradigm through new communication technologies; It aims to present kiosk usage areas in graphic design. By explaining the concept of informationalism, the relationality of graphic design with the concept is presented through its integration into the application forms of new media and communication technologies. In addition, the formation, development and interface design process of kiosks is discussed; The subject is supported through case studies. The research is of original value in the way it is discussed in terms of the development of informationalism at the point where kiosks have come and their integration into graphic design. In addition, it is thought that the subject integrity that will be created by synthesizing different concepts with a multi-disciplinary approach will contribute to the literature. The research was created by scanning relevant topics and resources; It is evaluated within the scope of qualitative research methods. The examples discussed within the scope of the research were randomly selected from studies that would clarify the subject; It was carried out to support the theoretical framework. The research aims to reveal the place of kiosks as a technological design tool in the informationist paradigm. This research emphasizes the role of informationalism within the capitalist paradigm and tries to understand the relationship between these two fields more deeply by examining the usability effects of kiosks, one of the new communication technologies.
