Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri alanında son yüzyılda yaşanan gelişmeler, hayatın hemen her alanını etkileyen dijitalleşmeyi beraberinde getirmiştir. Günlük yaşamın birçok alanını ciddi anlamda dönüştüren dijitalleşme, öteden beri toplumlarda yaygın bir boş zaman aktivitesi ve eğlence unsuru olarak kabul gören oyunların formunu da önemli ölçüde etkilemiştir. Özellikle son yarım asır içerisinde önemli bir ivme kaydeden ve her geçen gün büyümekte olan dijital oyun sektörü, ekonomik açıdan da rağbet gören popüler bir alan haline gelmiştir. Oyun geliştirici firmalar nezdinde ekonomik açıdan önemli bir rekabet alanı oluşturan dijital oyunlarda; fiziksel, dijital veya üyelik tabanlı satış, oyun içi sanal bazı unsurların alım satımı ya da oyun esnasındaki ilişkilere bağlı kazanılıp kaybedilebilen çeşitli ekonomik değerler söz konusudur. Bilgi, beceri ve kabiliyetleri geliştirmek, vakit geçirmek, stres atmak ve terapi gibi çok çeşitli amaçlarla insanların ilgisini çeken oyunların gelinen nokta itibariyle ayrıca kazanç sağlama amacı güden ticari bir aktivite olarak benimsenmekte olduğu gerçeği, oyunların bu yönünün de tartışılmasını gerekli kılmaktadır. Bu çalışma, günümüzde farklı birçok açıdan tartışılmakta olan dijital oyunların, ticari bir meşguliyet alanı ve kazanç yöntemi olarak görülmesini fıkhî niteliği bakımından tahlil etmektedir.

The developments in the field of information and communication technologies in the last century have brought digitalization that affects almost every field of life. Digitalization, which has seriously transformed many areas of everyday life, has also significantly influenced the form of games that have since been widely recognized as a free time activity and entertainment element in communities. The digital gaming industry, in the last half of the century, which has recorded a significant momentum and is growing every day, has become a popular field that has become economically popular. The digital games, which are an economic competitive area for the game developers, are related to physical, digital or membership-based sales, the purchase of some virtual elements in the game, or the various economic values that can be gained or lost due to the relationship during the game. The fact that games that attract people with a variety of purposes such as developing knowledge, skills and abilities, spending time, stress and therapy, as well as the fact that profit is being adopted as a commercial activity, makes it necessary to discuss this aspect of games. This study analyses the nature of digital games, which are discussed in many different aspects today, to be seen as a field of commercial occupation and a method of earning.

Especially in the last half-century, the digital game industry which has achieved an important momentum and is growing day by day has become a popular sector economically as well. In digital games which constitute an economically important competitive field for game developers, various economic values can be gained and lost due to physical, digital, or membership-based sale, purchase, and sale of some virtual elements in the game or relationships during the game. The fact that games that attract people’s attention for various purposes such as improving knowledge, skills, and abilities, spending time, relieving stress, and therapy are seen as commercial activities that aim to make a profit, makes it necessary to discuss this aspect of the games. This study analyzes the understanding of digital games which are discussed today from different perspectives as a commercial area of occupation and a method of earning in terms of their Islamic jurisprudential situation.
