Aday öğretmenlerin aday öğretmen yetiştirme programına ilişkin görüşleri: Nitel bir araştırma

Abstract:

Bu araştırma, öğretmen adaylarının, aday öğretmen yetiştirme programına ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemeyi amaçlayan fenomenolojik olarak desenlenmiş nitel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı Temmuz döneminde Eskişehir ilinde aday öğretmen yetiştirme programına katılan maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 55 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan yapılandırılmış standardize yazılı görüşme formu ile toplanmış olup; verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise nitel araştırma analiz tekniklerinden betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları sınıf içi ve okul içi faaliyetler, okul dışı faaliyetler ve hizmet içi eğitim uygulamaları ana temaları olmak üzere üç temel başlıkta ele alınmıştır. Çalışma sonuçları incelediğinde, aday öğretmen yetiştirme sürecine dair aday öğretmenlerin bazıları olumlu, bazılarının ise olumsuz düşüncelere sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca ders planı ve materyal hazırlama,  dersleri izleme, yönetimsel faaliyetlere katılma, kurumsal farkındalık, kurumsal ve hizmet içi eğitim çalışmalarında karşılaşılan sorunların üzerinde durmuşlardır. Bu sorunların üstesinden gelinmesinde öğretmen adayları için farklı mesleki gelişim etkinliklerinin planlanması, deneyimli ve gönüllü danışman öğretmenlerin seçilmesi, danışman öğretmenlere eğitim fakültelerinde danışmanlık eğitimi verilmesi, mesleki gelişim programının belirlenmesinde eğitim fakülteleri ile Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı arasında işbirliği yapılması önerileri getirilmiştir.

Opinions of Candidate Teachers on the Candidate Teachers Training Program: A Qualitative Research

Abstract:

This research is a phenomenologically designed quality research aimed at determining the opinions of teachers candidates about the candidate teacher training program. The study’s work group constitutes 55 teachers nominated by the maximum variety sampling method to participate in the candidate teacher training program in the province of Eskişehir during the July 2015-2016 Education Teaching Year. The data of the research is collected through a structured standardized written interview form consisting of open-end questions, and the analysis of the data is used by the visual analysis technique of the quality research analysis techniques. The findings of the research were discussed in three main topics, including classroom and school activities, out-of-school activities and service educational practices. When examining the results of the study, it was determined that some of the candidate teachers on the training process had positive opinions, while some had negative opinions. They also stood on the problems encountered in the curriculum and material preparation, the follow-up of courses, participation in management activities, corporate awareness, corporate and service-in-training studies. To overcome these problems, the planning of different professional development activities for teachers candidates, the selection of experienced and volunteer advisory teachers, the provision of advisory training in educational faculty teachers, the establishment of the professional development program, the proposals for cooperation between educational faculty and the Ministry of National Education were brought.

Pre-service Teachers’ Views On Pre-service Teacher Training Program: A Qualitative Research

Abstract:

This research is a qualitative research aimed to determine the views of pre-service teachers about the pre-service teacher training program. This study utilized a qualitative phenomenological design. The participants of the research consisted of 55 pre-service teachers selected through  maximum variation sampling method. Participants of the study participated in pre-service teacher training program in the province of Eskişehir in the academic year of July 2015-2016. The data of the research is collected through structured interview form involving open-ended questions. In the analysis of the data, descriptive analysis is utilized. The findings of the research are addressed in three main themes, namely in-class and in-school activities, out-of-school activities, and in-service training activities. The findings revealed that some of the pre-service teachers have positive thoughts regarding pre-service teacher training process while some have negative views. They also emphasized some problems encountered in lesson planning and material preparation, classroom monitoring, participation in managerial activities, institutional awareness, and institutional and in-service trainings. To handle these problems, different professional development activities for pre-service teachers, the selection of experienced and voluntary counseling teachers, trainings for counselors, cooperation between the education faculties and the Ministry of National Education are suggested.
