Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to provide information about professional rehabilitation psychological advice. Psychological counseling is the ability of individuals to effectively deal with their problems, acquire their decision-making and problem skills, improve their well-being and provide similar services to their buyers by professionals. Rehabilitation psychological counseling is a psychological counseling done with the aim of providing psychosocial support to individuals with disabilities as a field of specialization in the recent years of the psychological counseling field. Professional rehabilitation psychological counseling is a more special field of rehabilitation psychological counseling; a service that is actively offered in the world to provide adequate employment to individuals with disabilities and various health problems and to allow individuals to participate in the active labor force. The development of professional rehabilitation psychological consultancy in the world and the provision of more effective services in this field are being organized and studied. The development process of professional rehabilitation psychological counseling differs from country to country, but it can be said that the work is done in order to progress on this subject in almost every country. The United States, Germany, Austria and many other countries are making arrangements to spread professional rehabilitation psychological consultancy and ensure that many individuals have access to these services. The United States, with its regulations and its strategies in the field of professional rehabilitation, seems to be an example for many countries in this sense. In Turkey, the development of professional rehabilitation psychological consultancy and the arrangements that have begun in this field are equal to the last years. The need rehabilitation psychological consultant training needs to create and develop the educational programs in this field, but if necessary the services in this field are not sufficient in the issues related to how the institutions will be offered in Turkey. Therefore, the training of the necessary staff in this field, the provision of professional rehabilitation and psychological consultancy services to the disabled individuals, needs to be advanced in the matters of making the necessary arrangements in this field. The development and enrichment of the undergraduate and postgraduate education in the field of psychological consulting and guidance for the development of rehabilitation psychological counseling can be offered as a suggestion for the conduct of studies aimed at determining the needs, expectations and problems of disabled individuals.
