Abstract:

Today’s are in the need and search for a system that can be constantly improved, transformed and adapted to new technologies and applications to be able to stand up, fight in a global competitive environment and improve their operational performance. World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is a world-class production approach aimed at operational excellence and competitiveness, seeking the best practices to improve production performance on the basis of continuous improvement. In the 2000s, it evolved from a classic approach to a modern approach, focusing on being productive, flexible and flexible in the world class. In the modern world class, the production model consists of a systematic structure that allows 10 operational and 10 management columns to work in coordination. This study aimed at improving the system performance of an automotive sub-industrial supplier by targeting the workplace organization column from operational columns (Workplace Organization-WO). In the study, the main losses to improve the system performance were identified by 3M analysis and non-added value activity (NVAA) analysis, the areas of improvement that could be done by TIE kaizen and the attempt to fix the losses by the application of a single piece flow. With the application of single-part flow, the shortening of the circle time, the reduction of quality problems and the prevention of workload imbalances are expected.
