Abstract:

Accompanying studies in Turkey have started to become widespread through institutions providing professional music education. One of the many instruments that has accompanied works is flute. Conservatories, Music Education Departments at Education Faculties and Music Departments at Fine Art Faculties in Turkey are among the institutions where the flute education is available. It was aimed to determine the role of the rehearsing with accompaniment at the musical instutions which provides flute education in Turkey by determining the opinions of the trainers about sufficiency of reharsing periods of works with accompaniment, types of accompaniment preferred and contributions to learning on the instrument. The working group of the research consists 21 flute trainers who work at State Conservatories 9 , Music Education Departments at Education Faculties 15 and Music Departments at Fine Art Faculties 7 in total. A questionnaire form was used as the data collection tool of the research. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that there are lessons with accompaniment chamber music, orchestra, accompany etc… at these three instutions that provides undergrade flute education in Turkey, accompained flute pieces are taught by the instructors and pieces that accompanied with piano are the most preferred.Consequently, it has determined that there are differences on the flute training with accompaniment between
