İnsanlığın başlangıcından beri her daim var olan şiddet, anlamı genişleyerek, günümüze dek gelmiştir. Anlatıların da bir parçası olan şiddet, mitolojiden sinemaya pek çok sanat eseri içinde hikayenin önemli bir unsuru olarak işlev görmüştür. Komedi türü gibi en çok izlenen türler arasında yer alan ve bireyleri eğlendirmeye yönelik filmler içinde de şiddet öğeleri sıklıkla karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Türkiye’de komedi filmleri-şiddet ilişkisini ve komedi filmlerinin şiddet unsurlarını ne oranda perdeye yansıttığını ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. En çok izleyici sayısına ulaşan ilk 20 film içindeki komedi filmleri araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Filmlerde şiddete yer verilip verilmediği, şiddetin kaynağı, cinsiyete göre dağılımı, şiddetin türü, ekrana nasıl yansıdığı gibi unsurlara cevap aranmış, ardından filmin içeriği ve şiddetin işlevi filmler üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçta komedi filmlerinin büyük bir kısmında diğer türlerde olduğundan çok daha fazla şiddet öğesinin yer aldığı ve bunların birer mizah unsuru olarak sunulup, şiddetin gerçek sonuçlarından uzak bir şekilde temsil edildiği tespit edilmiştir.
The violence that has always existed since the beginning of mankind, extending its meaning, has come to our present day. Violence, which is also part of the stories, has served as an important element of the story in many artworks from mythology to cinema. In the films that are among the most watched genres such as the comedy genre and aimed at entertaining individuals, violent elements often come to us. In Turkey, a method of content analysis was used in order to reveal the relationship between comedy films and violence and how much comedy films reflect the elements of violence on the curtain. The first 20 comedy films that reached the number of viewers have formed the sample of the research. In the films, the source of violence, the gender-based distribution, the type of violence, the way it reflects on the screen, and then the content of the film and the function of violence are evaluated through the films. After all, it has been found that much more violent elements are included in the majority of comedy films than in other species, and they are presented as a humorous element and represented far from the real consequences of violence.
