Avrupa toplumunun büyük bir kısmında geçmişten gelen ve günümüzde de devam etmekte olan klasik bir Müslüman ve İslam algısı devam etmektedir. Bu önyargılar günlük hayattan iş hayatına, gazetelerden kitaplara, sinemadan basın yayın organlarına kadar olan geniş bir yelpazede görülebilmektedir. 2008 yılından itibaren kurumsal kimliğe bürünmeye başlayan Özellikle 2011 yılının ilkbaharında başlayan Suriye iç savaşı nedeniyle Avrupa’nın mülteci krizi ile karşılaşması Müslümanlara karşı ön yargıları artırmış ve Avrupa toplumunun popülist sağ hareketlere yaklaşmasına neden olmuştur. Son yıllarda özellikle Almanya ve Hollanda’daki Batının İslamlaşmasına Karşı Vatansever Avrupalılar (PEGIDA) hareketinden yola çıkılırsa bu grupların ülkelerindeki İslam, Müslüman ve göçmen karşıtı gösterilerinin yanı sıra din temelli derneklere ve yabancılara ait iş yeri ve evlere çeşitli saldırılar, sözlü taciz ve Müslümanlara ve İslami derneklere karşı planlı saldırılar gerçekleşmektedir. Birçok Avrupa Birliği (AB) ülkesinde, özellikle eğitim ve iş hayatında başörtüsü tartışmaları meydana gelmektedir. Müslüman kadınlar sosyal ve eğitim hayatının her alanında hem cinsiyetçi hem de ırkçılığa maruz kalan grup olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. Cenazenin ana vatana götürülmesi, orada yer bulunması ve gömülmesi, helal gıda temini ve helal kesimlerin İslami usuller zemininde olmasına karşı kararlar, dini bayramlar ve defin işlemlerinde yaşanan güçlükler de Müslüman nüfusun yaşadığı ayrımcılıklar arasındadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, İslam karşıtlığı olgusunun mağdurları olarak Avrupa’da yaşayan Müslümanların deneyimlerini ön plana çıkarmak ve güncel durumu kritik etmektir. Bu doğrultuda evvela Avrupa’da yaşayan Müslümanların imajı irdelenecek, akabinde örnek olay incelemeleriyle günümüzdeki durum göçmenlik, medya, eğitim, çalışma hayatı ve sosyal yaşam (başörtüsü, helal gıdalar, dini bayramlar, defin işlemleri, camilerin durumu ve diğer sosyal eylemler) özelinde incelenecektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada doküman incelemesi tekniğinden yararlanılmış olup veriler medyada yer alan haberler, istatistiki veriler ve raporlardan oluşmaktadır. Elde edilen bu veriler ışığında betimsel çıkarımlarda bulunulmuş, ortaya koyulan bulgular İslam karşıtlığı perspektifinden yorumlanarak tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın İslam karşıtlığına dair yapılacak diğer çalışmalara ışık tutması beklenmekte, İslam karşıtlığının tüm boyutlarının daha spesifik olarak ortaya koyulması önerilmektedir.
In a large part of the European society, a classic Muslim and Islam perception that comes from the past and continues today continues. These predictions can be seen in a wide range, from everyday life to business life, from newspapers to books, from cinema to press broadcasting bodies. The confrontation of Europe with the refugee crisis, especially due to the Syrian Civil War, which began in the spring of 2011, has increased the prejudice against Muslims and led to the European community’s approach to the populist right-wing movements. In recent years, especially in Germany and the Netherlands, the patriotic European Movement Against Islamization (PEGIDA) takes place, as well as anti-Islam, Muslim and immigrant demonstrations in their countries, as well as various attacks on religious associations and foreigners’ workplaces and homes, oral harassment and planned attacks against Muslims and Islamic associations. In many European countries, especially in the field of education and business, there is a lot of debate. Muslim women stand in the forefront as a group exposed to both gender and racism in all areas of social and educational life. The decision to take the funeral to the hometown, place and burial there, the provision of halal food and the provision of halal sections on the ground of Islamic procedures, the difficulties in religious holidays and defined processes are among the discriminations that the Muslim population lives. The aim of this study is to highlight the experiences of Muslims living in Europe as victims of the anti-Islam phenomenon and to criticize the current situation. In this direction, the image of the Muslims living in Europe will be drawn up, after examples of events will be examined in the current situation of migration, media, education, work and social life (migration, legal foods, religious holidays, defined processes, the situation of mosques and other social actions). For this purpose, the document review technique has been used in the study and the data consists of news, statistical data and reports in the media. In the light of these obtained data, the findings presented in picturesque conclusions were discussed by interpretation from the perspective of Islamic opposition. The study is expected to keep light on the other studies on Islamic counterparty, and it is recommended that all dimensions of Islamic counterparty be revealed more specifically.

The aim of this study is to highlight the experiences of Muslims living in Europe as victims of the phenomenon of anti-Islamism and to criticize the current situation. In this direction, first of all, the image of Muslims living in Europe will be examined, and then, with case studies, the current situation will be examined in terms of immigration, media, education, working life and social life (headscarf, halal food, religious holidays, burials, mosques and other social actions). For this purpose, the document analysis technique was used in the study and the data consists of news in the media, statistical data and reports. In the light of these data obtained, descriptive inferences were made, and the findings were interpreted and discussed from the perspective of anti-Islam. It is expected that the study will shed light on other studies on anti-Islamism, and it is suggested that all dimensions of anti-Islamism be revealed more specifically.
