Abstract:

"Teacher Opinions on Primary School Managers' Leadership Skills" is produced from the disserted Master Period Project (Dumlupınar University Graduate Education Institute (2021). This study was carried out in order to obtain the views of the primary school teachers who work in the district of Izmir or Gaziemir related to the Ministry of National Education on the leadership abilities of primary school managers. This study on teachers’ opinions on the leadership abilities of primary school managers was conducted online by taking the opinions of specialists, organized according to the quantitative research method and used the scanning model. The examples of the study are: between 2020-2021 educational years, the 13 official (state) primary schools in Izmir or Gaziemir district are serving and 100 teachers are selected by random method from these schools. In the study, 13 articles were used in the online survey created through Google form by taking the opinions of specialists to determine the leadership abilities of class teachers' primary school managers. Fifth Likert type rating survey has been used to determine the total points of the teachers' views on the leadership abilities of primary school managers. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 25.0 program. When evaluating the data, identifiable statistical methods (number, percentage, average, standard deviation) were used. The study found that the teachers who participated in the study had a team of perceptions about their leadership abilities. It is also concluded that the teachers who participate in the study expect from the school managers to be more leaders and to behave fairly.
