Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to compare the specific objectives, achievements, content, teaching-learning process and measure-evaluation objects included in the teaching programmes in Germany and Turkey in a technological context. The design of the research is determined as a basic quality research. In the research, document review was used, which is one of the data collection methods used in the basic quality research pattern. The data source of the research was created by the Life Knowledge Teaching Program in Germany (LehrplanPLUS Grundschule, 2017) and the Science Teaching Program in Turkey and the Social Knowledge Teaching Program in Germany. Documents relating to the teaching programs have been obtained from the official websites of the Ministries of Education of both countries. The data obtained was analyzed through the visual analysis method within the framework of specific purposes, achievements, content, teaching-learning process and measure-evaluation topics. At each stage of this study, the opinions of a specialist in the field of comparative education were taken. The results of the study showed that although the two countries have the same technological objectives, their implementation processes showed differences. In addition, the number of achievements in the fields of learning related to technology is similar, although the content is different. In this direction, it was established that in Germany an intensely practical understanding of education was adopted compared to Turkey and a number of recommendations were developed from here.
