Abstract:

This study aims to determine the status of activities in primary English curricula meet the communication language approach. The research is designed as a quality study based on the examination of documents. The study examined English lessons prepared by the Ministry of National Education for 2 - 8th classes. The document analysis used a checklist prepared by the researchers. In the analysis of the data the visual analysis was made and the reliability of the analyses was made by the researchers’ opinion coalition. 93 is identified. The research finds that the activities are mainly aimed at developing speaking (speaking) and listening (hearing) skills and that these skills are supported by activities in the form of dialogue production, the rest of various publications and the relatively revitalization of one thought. Reading (read) skills are partly supported in the activities at each class level and from the second stage of primary education to the activities aimed at developing writing (writing) skills, the conclusion is that more places are placed in the lessons. Furthermore, it has been determined that the activities in the classrooms at the second stage of primary education are more supported by the team awareness, and that more space is given to the activities in the way of thought and research and discussion in the advanced stages.
