Abstract:

This research was conducted with the aim of identifying the reflective thinking skills of high school students to solve problems and studying in the context of gender, class level and mathematical success variables. The study is designed according to the relative scan and causal comparison model. The sample of the study was made by a total of 266 high school students identified according to the unproportionate group sample method related to the central districts of Adana or Adana. The research has applied a personal information form and a reflective thinking scale to solve problems as a data collection tool. The study finds that high school students have positive opinions about the ability to reflect on problem-solving and that students have close opinions about gender and class levels variables. Finally, it was concluded that there was a meaningful relationship between math class success and the ability to reflect thinking to solve problems. In this context, the conduct of experimental studies in a direction that enhances the mathematical achievements of high school students can contribute to literature.
