Ebeveynlerin Çocuklarıyla Oyun Oynamama Nedenlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada ebeveynlerin çocukları ile oyun oynamama nedenleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı çocukları ile oyun oynamayan ebeveynleri tespit etmek ve oyun oynamama nedenlerini belirlemektir. Nitel araştırmanın yapıldığı bu çalışmada amaçlı örneklem yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Katılımcı özellikleri için demografik yapısını belirleme formu kullanılmıştır. Nitel veriler yüz yüze görüşme yaparak oyun oynamama nedenleri sorgulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler betimsel ve içerik analizleri ile yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma 2019 yılı Eylül-Aralık sürecinde gönüllü katılan ebeveynler ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, 34 erkek, 108 kadın olmak üzere 142 katılımcıya ulaşılmıştır. Katılımcıların en az 1 çocuk en fazla 13 çocuk sahibi oldukları belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğunun ev hanımı oldukları ve özellikle akşam vakitleri çocukları ile ilgilendikleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca katılımcıların çoğunluğunun herhangi bir eğitim diplomasına sahip olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Genel olarak ebeveynlerin çalışıyor olma veya zaman ayıramama, isteksizlik ve bilmiyor olma, çocuk yaşından dolayı, geleneklerden dolayı ve kalabalık aile yapısı gibi beş kategoride sınıflandırılan nedenlerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna göre katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğunun iş, güç ve zaman ayıramama gibi nedenlerden dolayı çocukları ile oyun oynamadıkları belirlenmiştir. Bunun dışında ebeveynlerin oyun bilmeme, hoşlanmama, istek duymama, çocukların yaşlarının oyuna uygun olmadığı düşüncesi, mahalle baskısı, başka insanların düşüncesi, atalarından gelen olumsuz örneklerden kaynaklı geleneksel nedenler ve kalabalık aile yapısından dolayı oyun oynamadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Sonuçların doğrultusunda önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This study has studied the reasons why parents don’t play with their children. The purpose of the study is to identify parents who do not play with their children and determine the reasons for playing. The method of testing for the purpose of this study is preferred. The form has been used to determine the demographic structure for the participants' characteristics. Qualitative data is questioned on the reasons why the game is not played by face-to-face interviews. The obtained data is interpreted by visual and content analysis. The study was conducted with parents who participated voluntarily in the September-December 2019 process. The study included 142 participants, including 34 men and 108 women. At least 1 of the participants was identified as having a maximum of 13 children. The majority of the participants have been determined to be households and especially in the evening they are concerned with their children. The majority of participants have not received any education diploma. Generally, it has been determined that parents have causes that are classified in five categories, such as being working or unable to spend time, unwilling and ignorant, because of their childhood age, because of their traditions and the crowded family structure. The majority of participants have not been able to play with their children for reasons such as work, power and time. In addition, it has been found that parents do not play because of their ignorance of the game, their lack of pleasure, their lack of desire, the idea that their children’s ages are not suitable for the game, the pressure of the neighborhood, the thought of other people, the traditional reasons derived from negative examples from their ancestors, and the crowded family structure. Recommendations were made according to the results.

In this research, the reasons behind why parents do not want to play games with their children were examined. The study aims to identify the parents who do not play with their children and determine why not playing games. A purposeful sampling method was preferred in this qualitative research study. For participant features, the form of determining the participatory demographic structure was used. The qualitative data, the reasons for not playing games were asked by face-to-face interview. The data obtained were interpreted through descriptive and content analysis. The research was carried out with parents who participated voluntarily in the September-December 2019 period. In the study, 142 participants, including 34 men and 108 women, were reached. It was determined that the participants had at least one child and a maximum of 13 children. It was determined that most participants were housewives and were especially interested in their children in the evening. It was also determined that the majority of the participants did not have any educational diplomas. For the parents in general; It was found that there are reasons classified in five categories: working or not being able to spare time, reluctance and not knowing, child age, traditions, and crowded family structure. According to this; It was determined that the majority of the participants did not play games with their children for reasons such as work, occupation and inability to spare time. Except this; It was determined that parents do not want to play games due to not knowing games, disliking play, the thought that children's ages are not suitable for the game, the pressure from the neighborhood, other people's thoughts, traditional reasons due to negative examples from their ancestors and crowded family structure. In line with the results, suggestions were made.
