Sağlık talebine etki eden faktörlerin bilinmesi, tüketici davranışlarının belirlenmesi ve sağlık hizmetlerinin sürekliliği açısından önem arz etmektedir. Küresel pandemi süreci de sağlık hizmetleri talebini önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Tüketiciler pandemiden kaynaklı olarak, sağlık hizmetleri taleplerini erteleyebilmektedirler. Bu durum sağlık hizmetleri talebine etki eden faktörlerin belirlenmesini daha da önemli hale getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada kişilerin pandemiden dolayı sağlık hizmeti taleplerini erteleyip ertelemedikleri ve buna bağlı olarak pandeminin sağlık hizmeti talebi üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çalışma verileri anket yoluyla elde edilmiş ve sıralı logit model kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre ulaşım süresinin artması, ulaşımda kullanılan vasıta sayısının artması, hanede 65 yaş üzeri bireylerin varlığı ve çocuk sayısının artması, kişilerin sağlık taleplerini pandemiden dolayı ertelemelerine neden olmaktadır.
The knowledge of the factors affecting health demand, determining consumer behavior and continuity of health services is of importance. The global pandemic process also significantly affects the demand for healthcare. As a result of the pandemic, consumers can delay their health care requests. This has made it even more important to identify the factors that affect the demand for health care. This study has studied whether individuals have delayed their health care requests due to a pandemic and the impact of the pandemic on health care requests. The study data was obtained through the survey and analyzed using a sequential logit model. According to the study, the increase in transportation time, the increase in the number of means used in transportation, the presence of individuals over the age of 65 in the house and the increase in the number of children, causes people to delay their health requests due to the pandemic.
Knowing the factors that affect health demand is important for determining consumer behavior and continuity of health services. The global pandemic process has significantly affected the demand for healthcare services. Due to the pandemic, consumers can postpone their demands for healthcare services. This situation made the determining of factors even more important which are affecting the demand for health services. In this study, it has been investigated whether people postpone their healthcare demands due to the pandemic and the effect of the pandemic on healthcare demand. Study data were obtained by conducting a survey and analyzed using the Ordered Logit model. According to the results of the study, the increase in transportation time, the increase in the number of vehicles used in transportation, the presence of individuals over the age of 65 in the household and the increase in the number of children cause people to postpone their health demands due to the pandemic.
