Önemli bir bilim dalı olan ve sosyal bilimlerin arakesitini oluşturduğu kabul edilen tarih ile sanatsal bir üretim olan romanın birlikteliğinden doğan tarihi roman, “gerçeklik” bağlamında tartışmalara sebep olmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada, tarih ile roman arasındaki sancılı ilişki ele alındı. Her şeyden önce gerçekliğin ne olduğu üzerine durularak tarihsel ve kurmaca gerçeklik arasındaki ilişki ortaya koyuldu ve tarihi romanın üzerinde taşıdığı gerçekliğin mahiyetine dair çıkarımlar yapıldı. Bununla birlikte tarihin ve romanın birbiri üzerindeki etkileri, her iki anlatının da kolektif bilince olan katkıları, ideoloji kavramının tarih ve romanın oluşum sürecindeki yeri, bir anlatı olarak tarihi ve edebi metnin müşterek ve farklı yanları, modern ve postmodern dönemlerin tarih ve sanat algısı ve bu algının sonucunda şekillenen tarih ve tarihi romanın gerçeklikle kurduğu değişken ilişki irdelendi.
The historical novel, which is a significant branch of science and is considered to be the archetype of social sciences and is an artistic production of the novel, leads to controversy in the context of "reality". Therefore, in this study, the punishment relationship between history and novel was discussed. First of all, the relationship between historical and fictional reality was revealed, focusing on what the reality is, and the conclusions were made about the nature of the reality that the historical novel carries over. However, the influences of history and novel on each other, the contribution of both stories to the collective consciousness, the place of the concept of ideology in the process of formation of history and novel, the client and different aspects of historical and literary text as a narrative, the perception of history and art of modern and postmodern periods and the variable relationship that the history and historical novel formed as a result of this perception established with reality.
