Abstract:

This study was carried out on the coast of Amasya province center, surrounded by cultural heritage elements. The aim of the study is to determine the perceptions of the different cultural ecosystem services of the people of Amassia, the relations of services with each other and the changes of perceptions based on the socio-demographic and socio-economic characteristics in a valid and reliable scale. The number of samples for this study was at least 383 people. A total of 415 participants, including 244 men and 171 women, were selected by random sampling method, and the survey was carried out face-to-face. As a result of the factor analysis, a five-factor structure was revealed with the Cronbach alpha ratio of 0.933 . Depending on the gender, age, education and family monthly income conditions of participants, the level of perception of the place feelings, recreation, aesthetic values, natural awareness and educational values and social relations factors has been determined. Because the data does not show normal distribution, Spearman line correlation analysis has been applied to determine the direction and severity of the relationships. The study found that the sense of land is the highest level of cultural service perceived, that the sense of land is the cultural service that has the strongest relationship between the educational values and the subdimensions of social relationships, that the women participants perceive the services of the cultural ecosystem at a higher level than the male participants. In this study, the cultural ecosystem services perceived by the local people in the historic urban landscape on the Greenland coast were measured in 5 lower dimensions in a valid and reliable way.
