Abstract:

This study aimed at determining the level of self-sufficiency of class teachers' computer and internet use was attended by 153 class teachers who worked in the Mersin or Toroslar district and selected by the simple sample method. The data required to the purpose and sub-purpose of the research has been collected by the researchers created conversation form and the Computer and Internet Use for Class Teachers created by Shad and Iron by the Equality Perception Scale. According to the data obtained, the findings in this study are as follows: the perception of self-sufficiency of the computer and the internet use of classmates is at the level "I can do partially". According to the findings aimed at the sub-purpose of the study, the findings were found that classmates' computer and internet use levels of self-sufficiency did not differentiate according to gender, age and educational status variables. When the average perception was studied based on the situation in which teachers possess personal computers, there was a difference between teachers who possess personal computers and teachers who do not possess personal computers, in favor of those who possess personal computers. Because all the teachers who form the sample of the study have access to the internet in their homes, there is no analysis to determine whether there is a differentiation in the Internet access variable.
