Abstract:

The Panslavist stream, which began to be felt in Russia and the Balkans since the first quarter of the 19th century, has gained a great momentum in Russia after the Crimean War. In 1877–1878 the Ottoman Russian War became more dominant. Specifically during the period, the nationalist movements and rebellions in the Balkans, the process of oppressing the Ottoman rebellions, were closely followed by Russia. In these times when a Turkish and anti-Islamic movement is rising in the Russian public, many of Russia’s leading symbols and literary symbols have also participated in this movement. The famous writer Dostoyevsky, especially known for his nationalism and dark Orthodox religiousness, has shown an anti-Turkish and anti-Islam attitude on the pages of the magazine he published during this period. In his writings, the famous writer has seen the hostility of Turkey as well as a war-back attitude. He became one of the greatest supporters of the Ottoman-Russian War, known as the Battle of 93, stressing the importance of the war for the Russian and Slav peoples, he also imposed sacred meanings on the war. When the events within the period and a characteristic of the writer's nature, foreign hostility combined, a very strong opposition emerged. The author has not only limited these thoughts about the anti-Turkish and war with its corner writings in its magazine, but also worked in its literary works.
