Türkçe tasavvufî şiirler dâhil olmak üzere Klasik Türk Edebiyatında genel hatlarıyla; Mesnevî ve Kasîde-i Bürde, Arapça ve Farsça gazel, kasîde, mesnevî vb. nazım şekliyle söylenmiş manzûmeler, lugazlar, özellikle Hâfız, Şevket-i Buhârî, Örfî-i Şirâzî gibi İranlı şairlerin Dîvân’ları gibi pek çok tür ve şekildeki kaynak metinlere şerhler yapılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra özellikle XIX. yüzyıl ve sonrasında şerh olgusunun bazı problemli, tartışmalı ya da aydınlatılması gerekli yönleri ilmî/bilimsel olarak da ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda değerlendirmeye tabi tutulan eser, yazarının kendine has dil ve üslubuyla; Türk Edebiyatı Şerh Geleneğinin başat aktörü “şârih” ve belâğat ve fesâhat açısından onun “üslûbu” konusuna, Bûsîrî’nin defalarca şerh ve tercüme edilen Kasîde-i Bürde adlı na‘t-ı şerîfi örnekleminde ışık tutmaktadır.
