Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of volunteers working in the international sports organization. For this purpose, the work quality is designed with an outstanding pattern of research approaches. The study’s work group consists of 19 volunteers working in the organization of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) in Ankara on 28-29-30 May 2019. In the determination of the study group, easy-to-access sample methods were preferred. As a data collection tool, a semi-configured conversation form was used and the data obtained was evaluated by content analysis. As a result of the research, a volunteer has achieved the need to be a social person responsible, able to think analytically, with strong characteristic qualities, willing and able to communicate. Their volunteer candidates have been shown to be driven by their most career development in order to take part in the organizations. After a volunteer activity, it was determined that volunteers obtained the most positive outcome in their bilateral relationships. It is also stated that it can get positive outcomes in topics such as experience, self-confidence, personal development, spirituality and responsibility. As a negative outcome, it has been stated that volunteers may face a sense of time loss, stress, fatigue and failure.
