Mustafa Kutlu, modern Türk hikâyesinin gelişim ivmesinde sanatsal duruşunu dil, üslup ve biçim yönüyle hikâyede sabitleyen ender yazarlardandır. Hikâyelerinin zeminini, modernizme bağlı gelişen toplumsal değişimin bireyin zihin dünyasında meydana getirdiği tahribat oluşturur. Onun hikâyelerinde, insanın iç derinliğine yönelen, zamanın ve eşyanın hakikatini sorgulayan, aynı zamanda İslam medeniyetinin kültür birikiminin damıtıldığı toplumsal hayat pratiğini arzulayan bilinçli bir duruş vardır. Bu durum Kutlu’nun modernizm ve gelenek arasında gelenekten yana aldığı tavrı belirginleştirir. Kutlu, hemen her hikâyesinde İslam inancı, kültürü ve geleneğiyle yoğrulmuş Anadolu irfanının öz değerleriyle inşa edilmiş bir kimliğe dönüş çağrısı yapar. Bu çalışmada Kutlu’nun Nur hikâyesi üzerinden teklif ettiği kimliğin değerler dünyası incelenmiştir.
Mustafa Kutlu is one of the rare writers who establishes the artistic position in the story in the development of modern Turkish history in the direction of language, style and form. The foundation of their stories is the destruction that the developing social change associated with modernism causes in the world of the mind of the individual. In his stories, there is a conscious attitude that focuses on the inner depth of man, questioning the truth of time and thing, and also desires the practice of social life in which the cultural accumulation of the Islamic civilization is damaged. This situation highlights the attitude that Kutlu takes on the side of tradition between modernism and tradition. Happy, in almost every story, is bound with Islam's faith, culture and tradition; he calls for a return to an identity built with the values of the Anatolian Irfan. In this study, the values of the identity proposed by Kutlu through the Nur story have been studied.

In almost every story, Kutlu calls for a return to an identity that is kneaded with Islamic belief, culture and tradition and built with the core values of Anatolian wisdom. In this study, the world of values of the identity proposed by Kutlu through the Nur story was examined.
