İlkokulda Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrencilerin Yaşadığı Sıkıntılar ve Çözümleri Üzerine Öğretmen Görüşleri

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı ilkokulda yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin yaşadığı sıkıntılar ve çözümlerini öğretmenlerin görüşleri doğrultusunda incelemektir. Nitel bir araştırma olan çalışmadaki veriler Çorum ilinin Alaca ilçesinde bulunan sekiz ilkokuldan toplanan öğretmen ile yapılan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerden elde edilmiştir. Araştırma verileri içerik analiz tekniği kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma neticesinde yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin yaşadığı sorunlar dil farklılığından kaynaklanan iletişim sorunu, kabul edilmeme, okul kültürüne uyum sağlayamama, sosyal faaliyetlere katılmada isteksizlik, gruplaşma kaynaklı anlaşmazlıklar, Türk öğrencilerle uyum sorunu olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu sorunların çözümüne katılımcı öğretmenlerin çözüm önerileri ise; arkadaşlık ilişkilerinde aracı olma, sosyal faaliyetlere katılmada teşvik edici olma, müfredatı seviyeye uygun olarak anlatma, kapsayıcı eğitim modelini tam olarak uygulama, bireysel gelişimi sağlayıcı etkinlikler yapma, güdüleme, uyum eğitimi verme ve Türkçe özel ders verme olarak belirlenmiştir.

Teachers' Opinions on the Problems and Solutions of Foreign Students in Primary School

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the problems and solutions experienced by foreign students in primary school in accordance with the opinions of teachers. The data in the work, which is a quality of research, were obtained from semi-configured conversations with teachers from eight primary schools in the district of Chorum, Alaca. The research data is analyzed using the content analysis technique. According to the study, the problems experienced by foreign students are defined as communication problems caused by language differences, non-acceptance, disability to adapt to school culture, disability to participate in social activities, conflicts caused by grouping, the problem of adaptation to Turkish students. The solutions proposals of the teachers participating in solving these problems are defined as: being an instrument in friendship relationships, being encouraging in participating in social activities, teaching the curriculum according to the level, fully implementing the comprehensive educational model, doing activities that provide individual development, encouraging, giving adaptation education and giving special courses in Turkish.

The aim of this research is to examine the problems experienced by foreign students in primary school and their solutions in line with the opinions of teachers. The data in the study, which is a qualitative research, were obtained from semi-structured interviews with teachers collected from eight primary schools in the Alaca district of Çorum province. Research data were analyzed using content analysis technique. As a result of the research, the problems experienced by foreign students were determined as communication problems caused by language differences, not being accepted, inability to adaptto school culture, unwillingness to participate in socia lactivities, disagreements due to grouping, and adaptation problems with Turkish students. The solution suggestions of the participating teachers to the solution of these problems are; mediating in friendship relations, encouraging participation in social activities, explaining the curriculum in accordance with the level, fully implementing the inclusive education model, performing activities that provide personal development, motivation, giving harmony education and giving private lessons in Turkish.
