Introduction: Early stage in colon cancer is an important prognostic indicator of regional lymphatic nodus (LN) metastasis. It is also essential that a proper treatment plan is made. Purpose: In the early stage of our study, we aimed at examining the inheritance of preoperative Pozitron Emission Tomography (PET/BT) with regional LNs in colon cancer. Methods: In our clinic, we analyzed the data of the 83 early stages of colon cancer patients we treated between March 2014 and July 2019 in a retrospective way. We compared preoperative PET/BT findings with the findings in the pathological phase findings: Early stage PET/BT's LN metastasis indicated sensitivity, specificity and accuracy rates were 66,7, 64% and 65,1% respectively. Discussions: According to our study, the sensitivity and specificity of PET/BT to show LN metastasis in early stages of colon cancer is far from satisfactory. Result: In published studies on the subject, patients with colon and rectum cancer have been studied together. In our study, it is more homogeneous as a patient group when only colon cancer patients are studied. We think we can contribute to literature.
