Özet:

Second New is one of the important milestones in the 1950’s transformation of Turkish Poetry from sociability to individuality. The poets who created transformation, at the individual level while reflecting their feeling on poems as a part of the society, at the same time as a micro-sample of society they transfer zeitgeist to those poems. The ambiguity structure of Ece Ayhan, one of the sharp-tongued poets of Second New Poem, Poetry makes it difficult to search for meaning of reader. Therefore, studying poems with archetypal criticism will contribute to finding a more accurate explanation of Ayhan's poetry and revealing universal concepts embedded or hidden in poetry lines. In this article, based on the work of Carl Gustave Jung, Ece Ayhan's poetry can be revealed psychologically by using analytical psychology through the four basic archetypes as self, persona, anima, and shadow. By using this method, ıt can be seen that Ayhan creates stories parallel to his psyche by making men and women mythological, historical and modern heroes the subjects of his poems. While the poet criticizes the characters compatible with his persona in his poems, he affirms the marginalized "degenerates" in the society where the shadow overtakes the ego of the individual, whose balance of consciousness is disturbed. In this way, he combines a universal archetypal manner with Turkish society and his own individual story. The moral change of the society and the distortion of the society's view of ethnic minorities are revealed through individuals, one of the hot topics of the 1950s. In this article, after the deep examination of the meaning of the specific stories which contribute to poems, both the way Ece Ayhan fictionalized her poetry and the transformations that Second New Poetry wanted to create in poetry will be discussed.
