Bu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin yaşlı ayrımcılığına ilişkin tutumlarının belirlenmesi ve değerlendirilmesi amacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında eğitim ve öğretime devam eden 498 üniversite öğrencisine ulaşılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında sosyo demografik bilgilerinin ölçüldüğü veri formu ile Vefikuluçay (2008) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Yaşlı Ayrımcılığı Tutum Ölçeği (YATÖ) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda üniversite öğrencilerinin Yaşlı Ayrımcılığı Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 56,07 olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin cinsiyeti, yaşlı birey ile aynı evde yaşama durumu ve büyük ebeveynlerin kiminle yaşadığı ile ölçek puanları arasında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir.
This study was conducted with the aim of determining and evaluating the attitudes of university students towards age discrimination. The study has reached 498 university students who are ongoing education and teaching in the context of the study. In the collection of data, the data form with which social demographic information is measured was developed by Vefikuluçay (2008) and the age discrimination attitude measurement (YATÖ). According to the study, the age-related discrimination attitude scale of university students was estimated at an average of 56,07 points. There have been significant differences between the gender of students, the status of living in the same home with the elderly individual and who the elderly parents live with and scale scores.
