Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the life satisfaction of working mothers in terms of some demographic variables. The research was done using a relative scanning model. The research work group consists of 475 working mothers working as academic, administrative and permanent staff at Alaaddin Keykubat Campus at Selçuk University. The study was developed by Diener and his friends (1985) in order to determine the satisfaction that individuals obtain from their lives, and data were collected by Mountains and Baysal (2016) adapted to Turkish Life Doyum Scale and some demographic questions of participants face-to-face. In the analysis of all data, the SPSS program, the statistical analysis method, has been used and interpreted. According to the results of the study, there was no significant difference between the age variables of the working mothers and the life expectancy scale (p > 0.05). However, there is a significant difference between the civil status of working mothers, the number of children they have, the educational levels, the unit they work, the income conditions, the work satisfaction, the awareness of the policies provided in the context of social policy and the satisfaction of these policies and the satisfaction of life (p<0,05). This research is very important for the study of the life satisfaction of working mothers. When we look at the results of the research and the working mothers in general, we see that their entry into the work life increases their life satisfaction. Many other factors in the private life of the working mothers (civil status, the number of children, etc.) It has been determined that it has an impact on life. In the perspective of the social service, the strengthening approach of the working mothers should be provided to improve their conditions, the improvement of social policies at the macro level and the provision of psychosocial support by the professional workers.
