Abstract:

In order to increase the business performance, the process should be well-managed starting from suppliers. A competitive supply chain mostly depends on selecting good suppliers. Several methods have been used to evaluate alternative suppliers in the literature regarding factors like speed, flexibility, frequency of delivery, cost, quality and technology in order to select the optimal one. PROMETHEE method, by evaluating supplier alternatives by different preference functions, gets both partial and complete priorities and provides more detailed analysis. This paper evaluates the five alternative suppliers of a firm manufacturing bath tabs regarding five evaluation criteria by PROMETHEE method.
